Mezzanine modules on VMEbus boards provide for another level of integration modularity. Mezzanine modules allow the system integrator to customize a VMEbus board to meet specific application requirements. Some mezzanine module specifications are specific to a particular VMEbus vendor while others have been submitted for standardization within the VITA Standards Organization (VSO) or the IEEE.
