Elta Electronic Industries Ltd., (Elta) is one of Israel's leading military electronics systems companies, specializing in radar systems, electronic warfare, communications, computers and digital signal processors. Elta is a subsidiary of Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI). The Information Systems Division (ISD) builds ruggedized and military computers and workstations, visual intelligence processing systems, parallel digital signal processors and automatic test equipment. The Signal Processors Group designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) scaleable, modular DSP products based on the Analog Devices Inc. SHARC DSP chip. The family consists of processing, memory, special purpose and I/O modules. A single DSP module provides more than 1 GFLOPS of real-time multiprocessing and 320MB/sec I/O. Modules are interconnected by a powerful non-blocking switching network that assures scaleability to 16 modules in a VME chassis.
