Call VSO meeting to order Introductions, Agenda Review Announcements, Minutes Approval	Elwood Parsons, VSO Chair	Elwood called the meeting to order and asked members to introduce themselves. After introductions the meeting agenda was reviewed and approved. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved as written.
VSO Presentations, VITA Patent Policy, ITAR Issues, and other stuff	John Rynearson, VITA	John reviewed guidelines for meeting conduct regarding VITA’s patent policy and VITA’s IIEPP Policy re: export control compliance. See presentation.
Executive Report	Ray Alderman, VITA	Ray discussed what has become known as “Y2K Olympics” re: the predicted slowdown in China business demand after Olympics. Ray is still looking for a venue and month for 2008 Critical Embedded Systems/Bus & Board conference. Most likely it will be held in Scottsdale either in May or September. Details should be finalized soon. Ray discussed the need for a new mezzanine standard to accommodate the increase in serial data rates.
VITA Product Database Status	John Rynearson, VITA	John discussed the updated VITA product database which continues to be a work-in-progress. Jerry Gipper urged attendees to make sure their marketing groups were aware of this capability.
Standards Report	John Rynearson, Tech Dir, VITA	John gave the standards report. See presentation. The VITA 30.1 reaffirmation ballot failed. The standard will be revised based on comments submitted and another ballot will be held. VITA 42.0 failed. John will set up a recirculation ballot for VITA 42.0.
IEEE P1688, Standard for Module Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Testing, Overview	David Brumbaugh, Boeing	P1688 is a proposed test standard. See presentation. VITA might do implementation standard if there is member interest.

VITA 17.2, 10 Gbit Serial FPDP Report	Janusz Kossek, Curtiss-Wright	See presentation. Issue with optical link. Will start ballot shortly.
VITA 41.6, VXS Control Plane	Michael Bonato, DRS-SS	John Rynearson gave report submitted by Michael Bonato. See presentation
VITA 41.7, Processor Mesh	Michael Munroe, Elma Bustronic	No report.
VITA 41.8	Andy Reddig, TEK Micro	Andy Reddig gave an update on VITA 41.8. See presentation.
VITA 42 Status	Andy Reddig, TEK Micro	Andy Reddig review the status of VITA 42. See presentation. Andy did a market survey to get an idea of XMC ecosystem. There was much discussion re: the path forward with an agreement to proceed with recirculation ballot.
VITA 46, VPX Status Report	Jing Kwok, Curtiss-Wright	Ivan Straznicky for Jing Kwok. VITA 46 status. See presentation.

VITA 49, Digital IF	Bob Normoyle, DRS-SS	Bob was not present, but submitted the following summary for the minutes. “We made minor editorial changes to the VITA 49 document. Another ballot is open until Friday 16-Nov-07. Nine responses. 7 Yes votes, 2 abstains.”

VITA 53, Market Surveillance	Stephen Cecil, CRANE	Steve reviewed the current status of VITA 53.
VITA 55 Aurora on VME Report	Andy Reddig, Tek Microsystems, Inc.	No report.
VITA 57, FMC, Status	Malachy Devlin, Nallatech	John Rynearson gave report submitted by Malachy Devlin. See presentation.
VITA 58, Electronic Module Integration	Dan Golden, Boeing	See presentation.
ANSI/VITA 47 Revisions Proposal	Dan Golden, Boeing	Dan made a proposal to start another revision for ANSI/VITA 47. See sign-up list.
