Call VSO meeting to order Introductions, Agenda Review Announcements, Minutes Approval	Elwood Parsons, VSO Chair	Elwood called the meeting to order and asked members to introduce themselves. The agenda was reviewed and several items were added. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved as written. No announcements were made.
VSO Elections	John Rynearson, VITA	John presented the candidates for chair, Elwood Parsons, and vice-chair, Melissa Heckman, Ivan Straznicky. The list of eligible voters was presented and ballots were distributed. The ballots were counted by Michelle Aden and John Rynearson. Elwood Parsons was declared the winner as chair and Ivan Straznicky was declared the winner as vice chair. John expressed his appreciation to Melissa for serving as vice chair.
VSO Presentations, VITA Patent Policy, ITAR Issues, Draft Standards and Copyright issues	John Rynearson, VITA	John discussed meeting conduct issues including patent policy, copyright issues, and ITAR issues. See presentation.
Standards Report	John Rynearson, Tech Dir, VITA	John presented a list of standards that are up for reaffirmation and a list of standards that would qualify for stabilized maintenance. John will circulate the lists and the VSO will vote on the dispositions of these standards at the May meeting. See presentation.
Next Generation Board Attachment Technology	Jim Fedder, Tyco	Jim presented new connector hole spacing technology. See presentation.

VITA 49, VRT	Bob Normoyle, DRS-SS	49.0 and 49.1 have passed working group ballot. PIN has been submitted. The working group will conduct some interoperability tests over next several months and will then proceed to ANSI process.
VITA 51, Reliability Prediction	Lori Bechtold, Boeing	See presentation. The ballot review is almost complete. A final review meeting is scheduled for Thursday.
VITA 53, Market Surveillance	Stephen Cecil, CRANE	No report.
VITA 55 Aurora on VME Report	Andy Reddig, Tek Microsystems, Inc.	No report.
VITA 57 FMC	Malachy Devlin, Nallatech	John Rynearson reported for Malachy Devlin. See presentation. ANSI ballot solicitation is complete and the ballot will start shortly.
VITA 58, Electronic Module Integration	Dan Golden, Boeing	See presentation. Held telecon. Got comments. Dan incorporated them in latest draft.
VITA 59, Rugged System on Module Express (RSE)	Manfred Schmitz, MEN	Working group effort has started. Manfred has sent out some drawings for review.
New Mezzanine Standard		Bob Normoyle and Jim Reedy discussed needs and requirements for mixed signal mezzanine standard. See presentation. A sign-up list was sent around.
Arcing Issue	Elwood Parsons, VSO Chair	Elwood presented several photos showing the results of an arc-over when a connector was removed. The connector housing was breached and the operator sustained burns on his hand. The internal wires apparently failed due to solder wicked stranded wires breaking when the connector was removed.
