    : Under ANSI rules after 5 years of a standard being reaffirmed, a standard may enter a 10 year stabilized maintenance period. There have been no requests for revision or errata for this standard in question, hence it is recommended that it be maintained in stabilized maintenance mode.

    Abstract
    This standard provides common design and performance requirements for a family of integrated electronic chassis incorporating updated industry standard high speed electronic assemblies and designed for rugged environments.

    This ballot is open to both VITA members and non-members alike. You must register if you wish to participate in the ballots. Non-members should contact Jing Kwok, VITA Technical Director, for login credentials.

    The roster will be vetted to ensure it meets balance, lack of dominance and openness rules. Following which a formal ballot will be sent to the registrants for voting.

    Title: ANSI/VITA 30.1-2008 (R2014), 2mm Connector Practice on Conduction Cooled Euroboards

    Abstract
    Mechanical characteristics of conduction cooled versions of Euroboard-based circuit card assemblies are described herein. This specification is applicable to, but not limited to, the CompactPCI bus standard, an internal interconnect (backplane) bus intended for connecting individual processing, memory, communications and I/O elements to additional resources. The aim is to ensure mechanical interchangeability of conduction-cooled circuit card assemblies in a format suitable for military and rugged applications and to ensure their compatibility with both conduction cooled chassis and commercial, air-cooled, single height (3U) and double-height (6U) x 160mm, Euroboard chassis.

    Description: Under ANSI rules every 5 years an approved standard must be reaffirmed, revised, or withdrawn.  There have been no requests for revision or errata for these the standards in question, hence it is recommended that it be put forth for reaffirmation.

    Title: ANSI/VITA 48.7-2014, Mechanical Standard for Electronic Plug-in Units using Air Flow-by Cooling Technology

    Abstract: VITA 48.7 defines a detailed mechanical implementation for Air Flow-By cooling and sealing technologies applied to plug-in modules, backplanes, and sub-racks as defined in VITA 46/48. Air Flow-By cooling seals, environmentally and EMI, the PCBA within heat exchanging covers, convectively cooling the assembly without exposing the PCBA to the cooling air.

    VITA 68.2, VPX Standard S-Parameter Definition

    Abstract: VITA 68.2 is a dot specification based on the VITA 68 family of standards for signal integrity compliance of VPX systems and components. VITA 68.2 leverages [VITA 68.0] S-parameter definition and expands upon how the S-parameters are formatted and named to help system integrators easily take multiple vendor S-parameters, concatenate them together to analyze an entire channel from one Plug-In Module to another Plug-In Module.

    VITA 65.0, OpenVPX System Standard

    Abstract: The OpenVPX System Standard was created to bring versatile system architectural solutions to the VPX market. Based on the extremely flexible VPX family of standards, the OpenVPX standard uses module mechanical, connectors, thermal, communications protocols, utility, and power definitions provided by specific VPX standards and then describes a series of standard profiles that define slots, backplanes, modules, and Standard Development Chassis.

    VITA 65.1, OpenVPX System Standard - Profile Tables

    Abstract: This standard documents variations of Slot, Backplane, and Modules Profiles. As part of the Slot Profile Description, there are also some Connector Modules defined. This document is primarily tables which are referenced by VITA 65.0.

    Voter registration for ANSI level balloting of the VITA 67.2, Coaxial Interconnect on VPX, 8 Position SMPM Configuration Standard is now open.

    Abstract: The objective of this standard is to detail the configuration and interconnect within the structure of VITA 67.0 enabling a VITA 46 interface containing multi-position blind mate analog connectors with up to 8 SMPM contacts.

    Description: The VITA 67.2 working group has completed the draft and has voted to take the draft through to the ANSI process to be recognized as an ANSI standard. This is a revision to the previously approved standard ANSI/VITA 67.2-2012.

    Abstract: The VITA 47 group of standards defines environmental, design and construction, safety, and quality requirements for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Plug-In Modules intended for ground and aerospace applications. VITA 47.2 address requirements specific to dedicated service electronic products.

    VITA 47.3, Plug-In Module Standard for Environments, Design and Construction, Safety, and Quality – High Performance

    Abstract: The VITA 47 group of standards defines environmental, design and construction, safety, and quality requirements for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Plug-In Modules intended for ground and aerospace applications. VITA 47.3 address requirements specific to high performance electronic products.

    Abstract: This standard defines the colors, behaviors, placement, and labeling of service and status indicator lamps for boards, field replaceable units, and enclosures.

    Description: The VITA 40 working group has completed the draft and has voted to take the draft through to the ANSI process to be recognized as an ANSI standard. This was a previously withdrawn standard ANSI/VITA 40-2003 (W2013) that is now being revived.
